Delete your data

The short version

Sign in and visit poostit.com/account/delete. Type your email to confirm, click the red button, and everything is wiped in seconds. Can't sign in? poostitapp@gmail.com (subject “Delete my account”) — we handle it manually within 30 days.

Two paths to deletion

a) From the app (recommended, instant)

  1. Sign in at www.poostit.com.
  2. Visit poostit.com/account/delete (or click your profile menu → Delete account).
  3. Type your email to confirm and click Delete my account permanently.
  4. Everything below is wiped immediately — your user record, OAuth tokens, drafts, scheduled and published-post metadata, uploaded images, feedback, waitlist entry. You'll be signed out and redirected to the home page.

b) By email (if you can't sign in)

If you can't sign in (forgot which email, account locked, etc.), email poostitapp@gmail.com with the subject “Delete my account”and tell us the email you signed up with. We'll find your account, verify ownership, and delete everything within 30 days.

What gets deleted

  • Your Poostit account record (email, name, role).
  • All OAuth tokens we hold for your connected platforms (Pinterest, Tumblr, Instagram, Threads).
  • All drafts, scheduled posts, and published-post metadata (titles, descriptions, links, tags, board / blog choices).
  • All images you uploaded, deleted from our storage.
  • Any feedback or bug reports you submitted, including attached screenshots.
  • Waitlist entry, if you joined the waitlist.

What doesn't get deleted

  • Posts already published on Pinterest, Tumblr, Instagram, or Threads. Those live on the platform itself — they belong to your account there, not us. You can delete them through each platform's own interface (Pinterest pin menu, Tumblr post menu, Instagram / Threads post menu).
  • Server access logs (IP, user agent, timestamp) that are retained for up to 30 days for security and abuse prevention. These are auto-purged after that window.
  • Anonymous analytics(Vercel Web Vitals, pageview counts) that aren't tied to your identity.
